The Underground - Surreal Illustration

This is a newly colored illustration, called "Underground", or "Mole People", if you like more. The idea is show a sick and surreal world with subtexts of interpretation.

Made with pen and hydrographic pen in 2009 and digitally colorized just yesterday. I like so much the idea and with color the work gain more attention.

Its a nice post called "Timeless Disney" and tells about "The extraordinary break from reality into unbelievable worlds of flying carpets, pirate ships and talking animals is the magical appeal for so many children that is Disney."

This guy is the Youngest Gamer in the world! In 3 months he got many high scores and power ups. The game is just beginning. :-)

"The Collector" - 3rd Renderyard One Minute Challenge Finals

I just received this message from Renderyard, my animation "The Collector" is one of the 12 finalists. Win will be difficult, because it is for popular vote and we know how the online vote system works, don't we? You just win if you do a lot of advertising and spam.
In fact, to be selected for Renderyard critics is already a honor to me.

3rd Renderyard One Minute Challenge Finals and Winner

Last year saw a fantastic collection of one minute films ranging from experimental, media and advertising and micro films. In the final two weeks of December the public cast their votes on the overall winner of 2010 and voted Reverse The Wave the winner of the 2010 film competition.

This is a very old and small sculpture with a Bizarre Hunchback created by me about 10 years ago. I like this guy.
Made with epoxy and painted with acrilic (I think). The sculpture height is about 10 cm.

A CARNE (The Meat) WIN 3 BIG AWARDS at Jacarei Festival

Yesterday my short drama movie "A CARNE" (The Meat) WON 3 big prizes at Jacarei Festival, in Brazil.

That was a big recognition for the hard work and I'd like to thank all the staff, making possible to do a movie like this in exactly 24 hours. Was a crazy project and the results are here! :-)

On award event ceremony, the actress Elaine Thrash Oliveira,was in the stage to receive the 3 trophies ("O Corvo de Gesso") and thanks for the prizes. Also was there, the co-director, Geisla Fernandes and the actor Rubens Mello.

Soon I will create a subtitled English version for the movie, to reach a global audience, but for now, if you like to watch only in Portuguese language, here it go:

A carne é nosso filho primogênito, gerado por nove meses e concebido em vinte e quatro horas ininterruptas, com todas as dores de um parto. Naturalmente, um filho segue seu caminho e desprendidamente oferecemos um pedaço de nós a vocês. A nossa carne.

Giorgio e Karina são recém-casados que optaram por tentar uma vida mais calma e com o ar fresco que só uma fazenda no interior pode proporcionar. Ele, um renomado chef de cozinha, especializado na criação e preparação de receitas à base de carne. Ela, esposa dedicada e amorosa, que tenta aceitar o trabalho do marido, mesmo sendo vegetariana. Na convivência com um antigo empregado da fazendo, o caseiro Antônio, eles aguardam a chegada de um bebê, para completar o sentido de suas vidas. A tranquilidade é interrompida para dar lugar a um jogo de mistério que expõe as diferenças dos parâmetros de discernimento da realidade, levando a resultados extremos.

A Carne (The Meat) - Short Movie finalist at Jacarei Festival

Sorry for abandon the blog a little, but I'm working too much this last weeks. Soon I hope to have time again to dedicate to blog.

Well, a good news! My short movie A CARNE (The Meat) was selected as one of 3 finalists at Jacarei Festival (Brazil) on categories Best Editing, Best Screenplay, Best Direction and Best Fiction.

Soon we will have the results! I' already happy for this 4 nominees. :-)
